UJA-Federation’s Music Visionary of the Year Award Luncheon

UJA-Federation of New York’s Entertainment, Media & Communications Division honored numerous industry leaders at UJA-Federation’s Music Visionary of the Year Award Luncheon on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at The Pierre Ballroom, in Manhattan.

This year's recipients included Julie Greenwald, Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Atlantic Records Group, and Craig Kallman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Atlantic Records Group.

The event emceed by comedian Jeffrey Ross kicked off with a welcome from Trey Songz and featured special guest performances by James Blunt, B.o.B, and Bruno Mars. Also among those honoring Greenwald and Kallman were Jay-Z, Beyonce, Jason Mraz, Rob Thomas, Estelle, Brent Smith from Shinedown and Gabe Saporta from Cobra Starship as well as industry titans Clive Davis, Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles, Neil Portnow, Judi McGrath, and others from Atlantic Records, Sony BMG, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, MTV, BET, and more.

“UJA-Federation of New York’s visionary mission to change lives and strengthen ties is unparalleled,” stated Craig Kallman and Julie Greenwald. "We have seen firsthand the amazing work that
UJA-Federation is doing both locally and around the world. We are so honored and thankful to be named this year's recipients of the Music Visionary Award.”

Funds raised support UJA-Federation of New York’s annual campaign, including its Music for Youth Initiative, which supports programs and creates scholarships that make quality music education available and affordable for children in New York and around the world.

Past recipients of the Music Visionary of the Year Award include Barry Weiss, Clive Davis, Kevin Liles, Russell Simmons, Edgar Bronfman Jr., and L.A. Reid.
